Casual Warehouse Operative

Shift: Casual / Zero Hours – no guaranteed work or fixed hours

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will:

• Use voice control systems during night shift operations to accurately locate, pick, and prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Utilise warehouse systems during day shifts to efficiently and accurately put goods away onto racking, ensuring correct stock placement.
• Unload lorries during day shifts, ensuring all goods are handled securely and in line with company procedures.
• Replenish stock levels and consolidate inventory as needed to maintain smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment, including completing general cleaning duties at the end of each shift.
• Ensure all equipment is operated safely and stored correctly.
• Accurately complete all required documentation in line with warehouse procedures, promptly reporting any faults, defects, or issues.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Be able to work in a Multi temperature (chilled and ambient) environment.
• Good communication and team working skills.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to work within a fast paced environment.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
