Job Purpose Supporting the Key Account team with the coordination of ocean imports, whilst managing the movement of freight between destinations using both internal and third-party resources.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receiving and processing customer requirements, creating job files in the internal freight system and ensuring all information is entered accurately.
- Entering costs and charges onto completed job files to ensure customers are invoiced correctly and on time.
- Working with the finance team to resolve any invoice queries.
- Arranging the transportation of freight in the most cost-effective way, whilst meeting customer requirements.
- Planning deliveries and carrying out the necessary checks in advance to ensure goods arrive on time.
- Managing releases from shipping lines, obtaining required authorisations and ensuring all payments and invoices are handled appropriately.
- Supporting PO management and producing reports for key customers.
- Taking on any additional duties as reasonably required to support the wider business.

- Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive, commercially aware and highly organised.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- A collaborative team player who builds strong relationships internally and externally.
- Calm and flexible when working to deadlines.
- Self-motivated and eager to develop through experience and training.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum one years' experience in a shipping or freight forwarding role.
- Working knowledge of Destin8 and CNS systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Thorough understanding of Incoterms.
