Salary: £33,596 – £51,932 per annum (dependent on skills and qualifications)

The Supply Register is proud to be working in close collaboration with Coleg Cambria, one of the UK’s leading further education colleges, to recruit a dedicated Lecturer in Electrical Installation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking institution delivering high-quality Further and Higher Education programmes at their Bersham campus.
About the Role
Coleg Cambria is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable lecturer to deliver both practical and classroom-based learning within Electrical Installation. You will support learners across a range of abilities, helping them develop the technical skills and confidence needed to progress into industry or further study.
We welcome applications from experienced lecturers as well as industry professionals looking to transition into teaching and inspire the next generation of electricians.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Electrical Installation programmes
- Deliver both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory lessons
- Develop course content, assessments, and learning materials
- Support learners with a range of needs, demonstrating empathy, patience, and resilience
- Build positive working relationships with learners and colleagues
- Manage groups effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement within the department
- Demonstrate a positive approach to challenging behaviours
Essential Requirements
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in a relevant Electrical Installation discipline
- A Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE) or willingness to work towards one
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to work independently
- Working towards or holding an Assessor Award
- Working towards or holding a Verifier Award
- Awareness of quality standards within teaching and learning
Desirable Requirements
- Experience supporting students with SEND
- Experience managing challenging behaviours
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
Welsh Language Requirement
For this specific position, Welsh language skills are essential. Coleg Cambria is committed to growing its bilingual provision and will support staff in developing their Welsh language skills through tailored training and incentives.
