Full time – Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5pm
Part Time – Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8:30am – 5pm
ENB are seeking a compassionate and proactive Scheme Manager to support residents across several sheltered housing schemes within the Richmond Borough.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with elderly community who is passionate about helping people maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life within a safe and supportive community environment.
As Scheme Manager, you will be the first point of contact for residents, providing day to day support, welfare monitoring and practical assistance. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming, secure and vibrant community while working closely with healthcare professionals, social services, families and other support agencies.
No two days are the same, and the role offers a rewarding balance of resident support, community engagement, administration and health & safety responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welcome, induct and support new residents moving into the schemes.
- Conduct daily check ins with residents within your allocated schemes
- Respond to emergency calls and coordinate appropriate assistance when required.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, social services, families and support agencies.
- Support residents in accessing services that enable independent living.
- Encourage participation in social activities and community events.
- Promote the use of communal facilities.
- Foster positive relationships between residents, families and the wider community.
- Maintain accurate resident records and emergency contact information.
- Record incidents, accidents, emergency call-outs and equipment inventories.
- Maintain site security and promote a safe living environment.
- Support fire safety procedures and emergency preparedness.
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate with contractors where necessary.
- Assist with emergency response planning during incidents such as fire or flooding.
What are we looking for?
- Experience supporting elderly people, vulnerable adults or within a housing, care, or community setting.
- Full UK driving license is essential, as you will be travelling within the borough to different schemes
- Demonstrates empathy, patience and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Confident working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Has strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Can build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Has a proactive and problem solving approach to resident wellbeing.
