Tax Associate

£30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)
Looking to build your career in private client tax with a respected and growing accountancy practice?
This established Surrey-based firm is looking for a Tax Associate to join its highly regarded Private Client team. It's an excellent opportunity for someone with at least two tax seasons under their belt who wants greater responsibility, exposure to a varied client base, and a clear path for progression.
You'll be working with a portfolio of personal tax clients, supporting the preparation and review of tax returns while developing your technical knowledge alongside experienced tax professionals. The role offers exposure to a broad range of private client work and the chance to build long-term client relationships within a supportive and collaborative environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing personal tax returns for a varied client portfolio
- Assisting with tax compliance and advisory work
- Supporting senior team members on more complex tax matters
- Liaising with clients and responding to queries
- Ensuring deadlines are met during busy tax seasons
- Helping identify opportunities to add value for clients
What we're looking for:
- At least two completed tax seasons within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing personal tax returns
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and client-facing ability
- Ambition to develop a long-term career in tax
- ATT studies or a desire to pursue professional qualifications would be advantageous
