We are currently recruiting for September 2026 starts, giving aspiring primary teachers the chance to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in the classroom while preparing for future training opportunities.

The Role
As a Trainee Primary Teacher, you will work closely with experienced staff, gradually building the skills and confidence needed to progress into teacher training.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across Early Years, KS1, or KS2
  • Delivering small group work and targeted interventions
  • Assisting with phonics, literacy, and numeracy development
  • Working alongside class teachers to support lesson delivery
  • Leading parts of lessons as your confidence grows
  • Supporting pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress
  • Gaining insight into planning, assessment, and classroom routines

This role is designed to give you a strong foundation within a primary setting, preparing you for the next stage of your teaching career.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
