Job Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading packaging manufacturing company based in Stoke Ferry. The business is continuing to invest heavily into the site and is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of a skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent nights shift.
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of packaging and production machinery, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across the factory.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer looking for a long-term role within a stable and growing manufacturing environment offering strong earning potential.

Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Engineering Qualification / Apprenticeship
- Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Ability to work permanent nights
- Manufacturing or production environment experience
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across site
- Responding quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns
- Fault finding on production and packaging equipment
- Supporting continuous improvement projects
- Ensuring engineering documentation is completed accurately
- Working closely with production teams to maximise machine performance
- Maintaining high health and safety standards at all times
Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Packaging industry experience
- Engineering qualification
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Multi-skilled engineering background
- Experience working with automated production machinery
