HGV Class 1 Drivers required – Permanent position.
Candidates need to have a minimum of 1.5 years Class 1 driving experience. An in-date Class 1 licence is essential together with a current Tacho Card.
This role averages a 55 hour working week, so 40 hours at basic rate and then the rest at the OT rate of £22.37 per hour.
The shift pattern is working one week of 5 days on and 1 day off and then week 2 is 5 on and 2 off. It works out to one full weekend off out of 12
You will be carrying out various trailer work, including chilled refrigerators, curtain siders, low loaders and containers. You will be responsible for securing all products whilst in transit and it may include long distance journeys (potentially the odd night away from home).
You will ensure all delivery and collection notes/paperwork is correct and will offer a strong customer service to customers and colleagues.
You will need to use a pump truck or forklift truck as and when required to load and unload the vehicles.
