Teaching Personnel
We are looking to appoint a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our early years team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young children at the start of their education, helping to create a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.

Contract: Full-time
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm
Salary: £14.55 – £15.50 per hour
Start Date: Tuesday 1 September 2026
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning in line with the EYFS Framework
- Work with individuals and small groups to support learning, development and independence
- Assist with planning and preparing engaging, play-based learning activities
- Support children’s personal, social and emotional development
- Observe, monitor and record children’s progress
- Help to maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children with additional needs, including SEN, where required
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and early years provision
Essential Requirements
- A relevant EYFS qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years)
- Experience working with children in an EYFS setting
- A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework
- A caring, patient and positive approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
- Knowledge of phonics and early language development
- A proactive and creative approach to supporting learning through play
