Locum Social Worker – Pre-Birth
Location: South West England
Pay: £38 per hour + £150 per week accommodation allowance
NonStop Consulting is looking for a locum Social Worker role who can join a Local Authority in the South West of England.
This role offers a lot of flexibility with home working, allowing you to have a good work – life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
The Social Worker will work alongside families during pregnancy to create the safest and most nurturing start for every baby. The role involves:
- Undertake comprehensive pre-birth assessments, reflecting the baby's lived experience in utero and the potential impact of parental circumstances
- Work proactively to identify strengths, reduce risks, and promote safety planning prior to birth
- Lead and contribute to multi agency planning, ensuring coordinated and timely interventions
- Contribute to clear, analytical assessments and court work where necessary
Your practice will ensure that from the very beginning, every child has the strongest possible foundation for safety, attachment, and long term wellbeing.

Requirements:
- A strong understanding of pre-birth assessment frameworks, attachment, and child development
- A Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Full driving licence
