A specialist school in Northampton is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and wants to be part of a committed and experienced staff team.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support for pupils with a variety of special educational needs
- Work alongside teachers to deliver personalised learning activities
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small group settings
- Encourage communication, independence, and engagement in learning
- Assist with behaviour support strategies and emotional regulation where required
- Help create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Contribute to monitoring pupil progress and wellbeing
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable
- Patient, understanding, and resilient approach to supporting pupils
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Adaptable and confident responding to individual pupil needs
- Committed to helping pupils achieve their personal and educational goals
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally
