Are you a passionate and experienced early years professional ready to take the next step in your career? iStep Learning is excited to welcome a dedicated Third in Charge to our dynamic and nurturing nursery team.

In this pivotal role, you’ll support the Room Leader in delivering the highest standards of care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. You’ll also take the lead when needed—providing mentorship, guidance, and day-to-day direction to practitioners, all while building strong relationships with families and helping every child thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Engaging Activities: Support the planning and delivery of creative, age-appropriate experiences aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Team Motivation: Inspire and support the team to maintain exceptional standards of care and education.
  • Child Development: Observe, assess, and contribute to tracking children’s progress, ensuring individual needs are met.
  • Parent Partnerships: Build trusted relationships with parents and carers through effective communication and regular developmental updates.
  • Safety First: Promote a secure and well-managed environment through consistent application of safeguarding and health & safety policies.
  • Mentoring: Provide professional guidance and on-the-job mentoring to help team members grow and develop.
