Position: Factory Technician / Production Operator / Technical Cleaner – 6 Month Contract
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 OR 10:00 – 18:00 (40 Hours Per Week)
Salary: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour, depending on experience (Circa £31k to £35k per annum)

A leading manufacturer are seeking Factory Technicians / Production Operators / Technical Cleaners to join its operations team on an initial 6-month contract basis.
Working within a modern, purpose-built manufacturing facility, you'll play a key role in supporting production operations, maintaining machinery cleanliness, removing material build-up and ensuring factory areas remain safe, organised and operational.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a factory manufacturing environment and is comfortable with physical work. The position offers variety, combining factory housekeeping, machinery cleaning and production support duties, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
Full training will be provided, including cleaning procedures, LOTOTO / LOTO processes (safety), working at height and production operations.
Responsibilities
The Factory Technician / Production Operator / Technical Cleaner will be responsible for supporting production activities whilst ensuring machinery and factory areas are maintained to high operational and safety standards.
Maintain machinery cleanliness through industrial cleaning, jet washing and housekeeping activities.
Remove material build-up from production equipment to support safe and efficient operation.
Clean around, underneath and above manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Carry out factory housekeeping duties across production and operational areas.
Support machinery shutdown cleaning activities when required.
Physically move materials, equipment and production items throughout the facility.
Assist Production Operators with manufacturing processes and machine operation as required.
Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience working within a manufacturing, factory or production environment.
Experience as a Production Operator, Machine Operator, Factory Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Technical Cleaner or similar role.
Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling and physically demanding duties.
Reliable, proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Able to identify tasks that need completing and take ownership of responsibilities.
Strong team player with a positive attitude.
Full UK Driving Licence and own transport is essential.
