Production Manager Huddersfield | Up to £60,000 + Bonus
Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a global manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Production Manager for their Huddersfield facility. This is a site-critical role with full accountability for production output, people leadership, quality and safety across a multi-line operation.
The Role
Reporting into the Operations Director, the Production Manager will oversee Shift Management and Production Teams across two sites. You will be responsible for hitting output targets, driving a culture of continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards in quality and safety.
Key responsibilities of the Production Manager include:
- Managing all manufacturing activities across site, ensuring product is delivered on time and in full against schedule
- Building and executing production schedules across daily, weekly, monthly and annual horizons
- Owning KPI performance across output, machine efficiency, yields and labour cost
- Leading, coaching and developing the Shift Management team, including multi-skilling and training matrix management
- Driving lean and CI initiatives across the operation, reducing waste and improving productivity
- Maintaining sites to audit-ready standard and supporting ISO audit activity
- Investigating quality issues and implementing preventative measures
- Taking full accountability for Health and Safety across all production areas
The Person
- Proven background in production or operations management within a high-volume, multi-line manufacturing environment
- A hands-on leader who can operate at pace and balance floor-level credibility with commercial awareness
- Strong people management skills with experience developing shift-based teams
- Experienced in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, comfortable reporting at senior level
- Proficient in production planning and Microsoft Excel
