Your new role
As a Category Manager – Contingent Workforce, youwill lead procurement strategies across global markets. This rolecovers the full sourcing lifecycle-from market analysis and strategydevelopment to negotiation and contract execution. You'll act as a trustedadvisor to clients, providing insights on market trends, supplier strategies,and compliance considerations, while driving commercial excellence in dealsinvolving Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Vendor Management Systems (VMS).You'll run markettenders, evaluate bids, negotiate competitive terms, and draft contractsaligned with client needs. You'll also analyse large datasets to identifycost-saving opportunities, improve supplier performance, and contribute tocategory planning through market intelligence. Building strong relationshipswith suppliers and stakeholders will be key, as will mentoring junior teammembers and sharing knowledge across teams.
What you'll need to succeed
Tothrive in this role, you'll need a strong understanding of contingent workforceprocurement and staffing supplier management, along with hands-on experience inMSP/VMS environments. Familiarity with platforms such as Fieldglass, Beeline,or VNDLY is highly valuable. You should be commercially savvy, analyticallysharp, and confident influencing senior stakeholders in complex, multi-clientenvironments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work withperformance data are essential.
