A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Gloucester is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. The Role
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Help children develop positive relationships, confidence, and self-regulation skills
- Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and additional learning needs
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support strategies
- Create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Encourage participation, independence, and academic progress
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic
- Confident building positive relationships with young people
- Passionate about supporting children's development and wellbeing
- Calm and proactive when managing challenging behaviour
- Experienced in education, youth work, coaching, care, support work, or childcare (desirable but not essential)
