A respected, independent ecological consultancy is seeking an Ecologist to join its growing team based in Bristol. Established for over 15 years, the company has built an excellent reputation for delivering innovative, conservation-led ecological solutions across a diverse range of development projects throughout Southern England.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Ecologist looking to develop their technical expertise while working within a collaborative, supportive and environmentally focused team. The successful Ecologist will be involved in a wide variety of projects, providing ecological advice that helps balance development and biodiversity enhancement.
What the role will involve:
- Undertaking and coordinating ecological and protected species surveys
- Producing ecological reports and licence applications
- Managing projects and communicating with clients
- Preparing fee proposals and supporting project delivery
- Providing clear ecological advice and recommendations

Requirements:
- Previous experience within a UK ecological consultancy
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology or a related subject
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Full right to work in the UK
- Ability to travel to sites and work seasonal survey hours
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Bristol office or be willing to relocate to the Bristol area
