An established and forward-thinking law firm is seeking a Legal Support Assistant to join its Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and motivated individual to provide key administrative and secretarial support within a busy and professional environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with fee earners, assisting with the smooth running of client matters while delivering a high standard of service. This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied workload, thrives in a team-focused setting, and is keen to develop their skills within a legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to fee earners within the Private Client team
- Assisting with client communication, including responding to queries and providing updates under supervision
- Preparing, drafting, and formatting legal documents and correspondence
- Supporting file management, including opening, maintaining, and closing client matters
- Assisting with client attendance and ensuring accurate follow-up of instructions and queries
- Recording time on client matters accurately and ensuring billing processes are followed where appropriate
- Managing diaries, deadlines, and general office administration tasks
- Maintaining confidentiality and delivering a consistently professional service at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative, secretarial, or office support role (legal experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment
- A proactive attitude with willingness to learn and develop new skills
