Reed Finance are working exclusively with a growing SME manufacturing business in Newbury to find a hands-on Finance Manager to provide short-term cover for 3 months. This is a varied, all-round role requiring someone comfortable operating both strategically and at a transactional level.
This is a full-time role with 5 days from the office in Newbury, so you will need to be within reasonable commuting distance from this business.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, and cashflow reporting
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including AP/AR and payroll liaison
- Manage cashflow, banking relationships, and invoice discounting facility
- Support budgeting, analysis, and commercial decision-making
- Ensure compliance (VAT, HMRC, year-end support) and maintain strong financial controls
- Provide guidance to a small finance team and support the MD with insight and reporting
About You
- Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with strong SME experience
- Hands-on and adaptable, with a proactive “roll up your sleeves” approach
- Strong management accounts, cashflow, and commercial analysis skills
- Experience in manufacturing or product-based environments preferred
- Available immediately or at short notice
