Service Desk Supervisor – Building Services & Maintenance
Ongoing Temporary Role – Minimum 2 Months
Location: Hemel Hempstead / Central London
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (40 hours per week)
Hourly Rate: £15.50 – £17.30 per hour
Contract: Ongoing temporary assignment (minimum 2 months)
A leading building services and maintenance provider is seeking an experienced Service Desk Supervisor to support the business on an ongoing temporary basis due to long-term sickness cover within the team.
This is a hands-on supervisory role managing the daily operations of a busy service desk supporting mechanical, electrical and HVAC maintenance contracts across London and the Home Counties.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily service desk operations and coordinate engineer schedules
- Manage PPMs, reactive maintenance and subcontractor activities
- Oversee quotations, service reports, invoicing and CAFM updates
- Ensure all works are completed within SLA and compliance standards
- Liaise with customers, engineers and suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery
- Support operational efficiency, team productivity and customer satisfaction
- Monitor RAMS, compliance documentation and maintenance renewals
- Assist senior management with reporting and operational support
Requirements
- Previous experience within a Service Desk Supervisor, Helpdesk Supervisor or Facilities Coordination role
- Strong scheduling and coordination experience within FM/building services
- Experience managing engineers and subcontractors
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience using CAFM systems
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ideal Backgrounds
Facilities Management, HVAC, Building Services, Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance, Engineering Coordination or Maintenance Helpdesk environments.
