We are recruiting for a Claims Adjuster – Commercial Property on behalf of a leading London Market specialist insurer.
The successful candidate will manage and oversee the end-to-end claims process for a wide variety of matters under Binding authority and Open Market policies issued to insured’s mainly in UK, Australia, US and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse portfolio of property claims, from first notice of loss through to resolution.
- Evaluating policy coverage in line with underwriting intent.
- Establishing appropriate and timely case reserves.
- Managing claims strategies taking into account uncertainties, key decisions, potential outcomes, and estimated associated costs.
- Maintaining accurate and updated claims files including proper documentation and data.
- Communicating material claims to reinsurance and finance.
- Providing input to underwriters of potential or existing insured’s claims experience.
- Identifying issues and trends, and consulting with relevant stakeholders if required.
- Identifying wording issues and suggesting policy wording improvements.
Key Requirements
- University Degree is preferred.
- Three or more years’ experience handling commercial property insurance claims.
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid work management skills with a productive and achievement orientated mindset.
- Ability to influence others with client and broker management skills.
- Experience handling claims / managing portfolios within the delegated space.
- Managed claims in UK, Australia and potentially US / Canada.
