Nextech
Role: Head of Service Delivery Location: West Sussex (office-based) Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + benefits · Permanent, full-time
The opportunity
An established, award-winning managed print and document solutions provider is looking for a Head of Service Delivery to take full ownership of its service operation from its West Sussex Base.
This is a pivotal leadership role for a business with a 30-year heritage, thousands of clients across the UK, and a genuine reputation for service quality (backed by ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditation). The service delivery function is the engine room of that reputation, and they're looking for someone to lead it, sharpen it, and drive measurable commercial improvement across every part of it.
You'll lead the service desk and field engineering teams, own stock and asset control, tighten procurement and cost discipline, and turn operational data into decisions. If you're an operator who treats stock as a financial asset, reads a profitability report and acts on it, and builds high-performing, accountable teams. This isn't a report-production job. It's a role for someone who analyses, challenges and improves.
What you'll own
* Service operations * Stock & asset management * Procurement & cost control * Systems & reporting * Warranty & profit recovery * Client & commercial engagement
What we're looking for
You'll likely come from a managed print, office technology, field service, or technical service environment, and you'll recognise the commercial mechanics of cost-per-page and contract profitability. What matters most is the mindset: structured, analytical, commercially sharp, and comfortable holding a team to account while developing it.
Essential
* Proven leadership of service desk and/or field engineering teams, with a track record of SLA performance and customer satisfaction * Strong stock, asset and inventory control experience, ideally where stock is managed as a financial asset * Procurement and cost-control experience with clear approval and audit discipline * Confident with operational ERP/service systems (ECi / e-automate experience is a strong advantage) and genuinely data-literate – able to interrogate reports and act * Commercially minded, with experience analysing service profitability and driving margin improvement * Credible with senior client stakeholders
Desirable
* Background in managed print services, copier/MFD, or office technology * Familiarity with warranty recovery and consumable yield management * Experience embedding preventative maintenance programmes * Relevant continuous-improvement or quality-management exposure (ISO 9001/14001)
What's on offer
* £65,000 – £75,000 depending on experience – a genuinely competitive package for the region and a clear signal of how central this role is to the business * A senior leadership seat with real autonomy and ownership * An established, financially stable business with a strong client base and reputation * The chance to shape and modernise a service operation, not just maintain it
