The nursery delivers a high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, with a strong emphasis on child-centred learning, outdoor provision, and developing confident, independent learners.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Teacher to join the team on a part-time basis (2 days per week). The successful candidate will bring strong EYFS expertise, a commitment to outstanding early years provision, and the ability to inspire young children through engaging and creative teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning opportunities in line with the EYFS framework
- Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment that supports all children’s development
- Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, using this to inform planning and next steps
- Promote a culture of collaborative learning and holistic development
- Work closely with support staff to ensure effective provision for all learners, including those with SEND
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, supporting home–school learning
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and pastoral care
- Support a curriculum that values outdoor learning and play-based approaches
Person Specification
Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Significant experience within EYFS / nursery settings
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Ability to deliver engaging, child-centred learning
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable
- Experience within a maintained nursery environment
- Knowledge of inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs
- Experience delivering outdoor or nature-based learning
