The school is committed to providing a nurturing, play-based and highly individualised EYFS curriculum that enables every child to develop communication, independence, and early learning skills at their own pace.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher in EYFS, you will be responsible for delivering creative, engaging, and highly differentiated learning experiences tailored to the developmental needs of early years pupils with SEND. You will create a safe, structured, and stimulating environment where children can thrive through exploration, play, and targeted support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating a calm, consistent, and nurturing classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working within EYFS and/or with pupils with SEND (autism, SLD, complex needs).
  • A strong understanding of early childhood development and differentiated teaching approaches.
  • Confidence using play-based learning and sensory strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, creative, and child-centred approach to teaching.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs in their earliest stages of learning.

What the School Offers:

  • A welcoming and highly supportive leadership team.
  • Excellent opportunities for professional development and specialist SEND training.
  • Access to excellent resources and multidisciplinary support.
  • A collaborative and dedicated staff team.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a crucial stage of development.

Whether you are an experienced SEN Teacher or a mainstream EYFS practitioner looking to move into specialist education, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives.
