Description
- Act as the lead marketing adviser for the Sport team, developing and delivering campaigns to raise the profile of sport, fitness, and health services.
- Create and manage marketing materials, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and is tailored to target audiences.
- Oversee the Sport website, digital marketing activity, and social media channels, including managing the Digital Marketing Assistant and the production of engaging content.
- Lead marketing projects, including market research, competitor analysis, and stakeholder feedback, using insights to support service improvements.
- Coordinate and deliver key events such as the Sports Ball, Open Days, Visit Days, and wider Student Services campaigns.
- Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to develop campaigns, secure positive media coverage, and produce high-quality marketing assets.
- Represent Sport and Health at university meetings and working groups, supporting departmental and organisational objectives.
- Manage marketing budgets, evaluate campaign performance, and provide reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Profile
A successful Marketing and Campaigns Officer should have:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, with experience using web content management systems and other specialist software.
- Proven ability to create engaging marketing and promotional materials for a range of audiences across multiple channels.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with confidence engaging and influencing a variety of stakeholder groups.
- Ability to build effective relationships and communicate marketing strategies and recommendations to senior leaders, managers, and external partners.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Experience producing reports and analysing marketing performance, using data and insights to evaluate impact and inform decision-making.
Job Offer
