Production Team Leader

39 hours over 4 days (Monday to Thursday).
Our client is part of a multi-billion euro global manufacturing business.
They are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to take ownership for a production area within it’s clean manufacturing facility in Halesowen (B62).
This is a hands-on leadership role with real accountability, you will be responsible for a team of ten operators and assemblers, driving performance across quality, cost, delivery and safety. The business operates to a continuous improvement culture and expects its Team Leaders to lead from the front, develop their people and maintain high standards day in, day out.
What you will do
Lead your team to meet daily and weekly production targets in line with the manufacturing plan, taking full accountability for quality, output and housekeeping standards
Manage attendance, performance and timekeeping, conducting absence reviews and addressing issues promptly
Schedule production activity and coordinate rough stock delivery in line with the production plan
Coach, mentor and develop team members fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Liaise with internal functions including quality, engineering, planning and stores to resolve issues and maintain workflow
Champion a zero-incident safety culture across your area
What you will bring
Minimum three to five years' experience leading people in a manufacturing or production environment
NVQ Level 4 in management or equivalent qualification
Working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities on the shop-floor
A direct, confident communication style and the credibility to hold people to account
