This role has responsibility for the CQC-registered Widmore Road Learning Disability respite service and is based within the service.
The Registered Manager will have overall operational oversight of the service and will directly line manage the staff team. The postholder will report to the London Learning Disability Locality Manager and will work closely with them to ensure the delivery of a safe, effective, and high-quality service.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Delivering Outstanding Care
Ensuring individuals receive personalised support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion, with care plans that reflect their evolving needs. - Driving Quality & Compliance
Overseeing CQC registration and ensuring the Widmore Road service meets all regulatory and statutory requirements, maintaining safe, effective, and well-led services at all times. - Leading & Developing Teams
Providing day-to-day leadership to the staff team, ensuring effective management, clear direction, and ongoing support to maintain high standards of care and support delivery. - Ensuring Accountability
Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints, while working closely with the Locality Manager to drive continuous improvement and ensure ongoing compliance across the service.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable experience of working within a respite service, ideally within the Learning Disability sector.
- Strong understanding of the adult social care sector and relevant regulatory frameworks, including CQC requirements.
- Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to effectively oversee a service and staff team.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- A flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service.
- A minimum of 12 months remaining on your Right to work in the UK.
