Childcare Solicitor
Permanent | 2+ Years’ PQE
Location: Greater Manchester
Are you passionate about safeguarding vulnerable children?
A well-established and highly regarded Greater Manchester law firm is seeking a Childcare Solicitor to join its growing childcare team. Known for its excellent reputation in childcare and family law, the firm offers a supportive and collaborative working environment.
You will join a friendly team of five specialist care lawyers, supported by experienced secretarial and paralegal staff. This role may also suit candidates seeking part-time working arrangements.
The Role
You will manage a varied and rewarding caseload, primarily involving:
- Care proceedings
- PLO (Public Law Outline) pre-proceedings work
- Representing clients in childcare matters
- Drafting legal documents and case preparation
- Advocacy where appropriate
You will also work closely with colleagues within the childcare team to deliver high-quality legal services to vulnerable children and families.
Requirements
You will have:
- 2+ years’ PQE (guideline only – applications from all experience levels are welcome)
- Qualification as a Solicitor
- Strong communication, analytical and drafting skills
- The ability to manage a full caseload independently
- A willingness to undertake advocacy where appropriate
- Children Panel membership (or working towards it) is desirable
