Description
Acting as a member of the UK Legal Department reporting directly to the Legal Director for the UK, Ireland, Continental Europe, North America, Middle East and South Africa you will:
- Review, draft and manage contracts – reviewing, drafting and negotiating PSA and other contracts with clients and suppliers in line with business requirements and company policies;
- Draft and review standard terms of business for use with clients, candidates and suppliers;
- Covering for the Legal Administrator and shared Legal mailbox during busy periods and absences;
- Helping to maintain the company's preferred supplier agreements database to be able to accurately report to the business;
- Assisting other internal departments with their legal queries: DPO, Company Secretary, Marketing, IT, Procurement, HR;
- Employment Claims management – carrying out claims investigations, preparing responses, liaise with external counsel and participating in litigation process;
- Pro-actively handling incoming queries from the business on legal, contract issues and disputes;
- Researching legal and regulatory issues which arise from time to time and participate in training provided to PageGroup staff on legal and regulatory issues;
- Liaising with legal teams in other countries.
Profile
A successful Legal Manager (Solicitor) will be a Qualified solicitor status with the ability to practice in the UK.
They will be likely to have between 0 – 2 years PQE as well as:
- previous legal experience in contract review, preferably in an in-house environment; and
- a willingness and ability to attend the Michael Page offices in Central London on a hybrid basis.
Desirable:
Previous experience working within the Recruitment industry.
