Accounts Assistant

The finance function is central to supporting multiple trading entities within the group, offering a varied and fast-moving environment.
The Opportunity
An Accounts Assistant is required to join a busy and supportive finance team. This is a hands-on role with exposure across a range of transactional and month-end accounting duties, supporting multiple areas of the group. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys varied work and wants to develop their experience within a multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase and sales invoices across multiple entities
- Matching, batching, and coding invoices accurately
- Bank reconciliations and supporting month-end procedures
- Assisting with credit control and debt recovery
- Posting journals and maintaining accurate nominal ledgers
- Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
- Supporting the finance team with reporting and ad hoc tasks
About You
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 (essential)
- Comfortable working with high volumes in a multi-entity environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
- Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
