About the Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Assistant to join a warm and welcoming early years setting in Chester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children’s development in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
You will play a key role in helping to create a safe, engaging, and fun atmosphere where children can learn, explore, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily care and supervision of children aged [insert age range, e.g. 0–5 years]
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Help create a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
- Work closely with the nursery team to ensure high standards of care
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with young children (nursery, childcare, or early years setting)
- A caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for early childhood development
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant childcare qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years)
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework
