We are working with local authorities across Yorkshire and Humberside to engage experienced Educational Psychologists for face-to-face locum assignments. This role is ideal for EPs who value direct engagement with children, families, and schools while delivering high-quality assessments.
You will play a key role in supporting children and young people through in-person assessment work, helping to inform meaningful interventions and positive educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake face-to-face psychological assessments in line with EHCP requirements
- Observe children and young people in educational settings
- Produce clear, high-quality written reports with practical, evidence-based recommendations
- Work directly with schools, SEN teams, and families to gather information and provide feedback
- Apply psychological frameworks to understand learning, behaviour, and emotional needs
- Manage your own caseload and meet agreed deadlines
Requirements
- Doctorate or Master’s in Educational Psychology
- HCPC registration
- Proven experience completing statutory assessments and EP advice for EHCPs
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly in face-to-face settings
