About the Role We are seeking to appoint a passionate, motivated, and dedicated SENCo to join our successful and supportive secondary school community in Mid Essex from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or current SENCo to lead and develop our SEND provision, ensuring that all students are supported to achieve their full potential both academically and personally. The successful candidate will play a key strategic role within the school, working closely with senior leaders, staff, parents, and external agencies to deliver high-quality, inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities · Lead and manage the schools SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice · Identify and support students with special educational needs and disabilities · Develop and implement effective intervention strategies · Oversee EHCP processes, annual reviews, and statutory requirements · Support and train staff to deliver inclusive, adaptive teaching · Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies · Monitor student progress and evaluate the impact of provision · Contribute to whole-school improvement and safeguarding

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) · The National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to achieve it) · Proven experience working with SEND students in a secondary setting · Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills · A commitment to inclusion and raising achievement for all learners · Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
