Head of Commercial Property

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to lead a growing Commercial Property team within a well-established and forward-thinking firm.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will oversee the department’s performance, manage and develop the team, and deliver high-quality commercial property advice to a broad client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Commercial Property team
- Oversee workload allocation, supervision, and quality control
- Handle a broad caseload of commercial property matters including development, landlord & tenant, and acquisitions/disposals
- Drive business development and marketing initiatives
- Support the firm’s strategic growth plans
- Achieve fee earning and departmental targets
- Build and maintain strong client and referrer relationships
- Manage departmental credit control and compliance standards
- Mentor and support junior team members
About You
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer
- Minimum 8 years’ PQE within Commercial Property
- Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
- Experience managing or supervising a team
- Proven business development and client relationship skills
- Experience with AML and onboarding compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
