Delighted to be supporting a long standing business to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join a busy, supportive payroll team, reporting into the Assistant Payroll Manager. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of UK payrolls, supporting the Payroll Manager.
This is a transactional, hands-on role ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced payroll environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll onboarding – setting up new starters
- Payroll off-boarding – processing leavers and final pay
- Adding employees to the P11D system
- Administering private medical schemes
- Responding to employee payroll queries and escalating when needed
- Ad-hoc payroll processing and data input
- Completing peer-review checks to meet SOX control requirements
- Supporting payroll compliance and rate audits with accurate data
- Electronic filing and general payroll administration (payslips, P11Ds, documentation)
- Adhering to all SOX control responsibilities
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years' experience in a busy payroll department (desirable)
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work to deadlines with high accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Experience with iTrent or Workday Payroll (desirable)
- Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel
Leeds | Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)3-6 month contract | Inside IR35 | Umbrella | £160 per day
