HGV Class 2 Driver – Coventry
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.
Shifts: Monday to friday: 7.00am and 11.00am starts
Pay rate: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties:
Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver will involve but not limited to:
- Operate and drive a Class 2 vehicle in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.
Essential Skills
As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK C Class – Class 2 Licence
- Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving a Class 2 vehicle.
- No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
- Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card.
- Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English.
- Use a Tail Lift and Pallet Truck
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Desirable Experience
- Experience driving Catefory C vehicles
Training
- Two days worth of industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
