QHSE Engineer

Our client is a precision engineering firm with clients across the globe. As they expand into the clean energy market, they have an exciting opportunity for a QHSE Engineer to join their growing team.
You will support the Quality Manager to apply quality standards across the company and improve the overall efficiency of the operation by implementing’ right first time’ principles. You will apply your engineering expertise to ensure the reliability, effectiveness, and safety of products.
Key duties include:
- Supporting the Quality Manager to ensure consistent implementation and improvement of the Quality Management System
- Carrying out quality audits in line with ISO9001:2015 requirements
- Contributing to the Company’s continuous improvement and quality culture by looking for and recommending process improvements
- Resolving all non-conformances, customer complaints and product returns within required timescales and monitoring effectiveness of corrective actions
- Recommending solutions that will improve product durability and performance based on findings from serviced products
- Inspecting supplied products from internal and external sources against drawings and specifications
- Working to attain and maintain ISO 14001:2015 accreditation
- Implement and maintain Risk Assessments across the departments
- Ensure Health and Safety policies for the employees are being followed and recommend areas for improvement.
The successful candidate will have a high degree of attention to detail as well as the ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems. The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and to collaborate as part of a team is essential.
Experience of working in an engineering environment and/or a mechanical engineering qualification is essential, as is previous experience of working in a Quality role.
