Overview
We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join our team on an initial 6-month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable applications, working across both backend and frontend components within a modern Microsoft technology stack. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to business-critical systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET Core
- Build and enhance web applications using MVC architecture and Razor views
- Develop secure and scalable APIs and backend services
- Work with Azure Blob Storage for file storage and data management
- Write efficient, high-quality SQL queries, stored procedures, and database logic
- Collaborate with stakeholders, QA, and other developers to deliver features end-to-end
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and coding standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing applications
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and system performance
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with C#
- Proven experience working with .NET Core in a commercial environment
- Solid understanding of MVC architecture
- Experience using Razor for frontend development
- Working knowledge of Azure Blob Storage or similar cloud storage solutions
- Strong experience with SQL databases (query writing, performance tuning)
- Experience building scalable and maintainable web application
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Angular (modern Angular – not AngularJS)
- Exposure to or working knowledge of ColdFusion
- Experience working in cloud-based environments (Azure preferred)
Working Arrangement
- Hybrid working model with 2 days onsite per week.
