Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Slough
Full-Time | September 2026 – July 2027
Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm
£95-£100 per day PAYE
A 3-form entry primary school in Slough is looking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant from September 2026 for the full academic year.
The successful candidate will work within either EYFS, KS1, or KS2 depending on their experience and the needs of the school. The role may involve general classroom support, small-group intervention work, or supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities
- Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
- Working with individual pupils and small groups
- Delivering interventions in literacy and mathematics where required
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
- Encouraging pupil engagement and participation in lessons
- Assisting teachers with classroom organisation and learning activities
- Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a UK primary school
- Experience supporting children in either a classroom or SEN setting
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Reliable, proactive, and able to use initiative
- Comfortable working across different year groups if required
The school is particularly interested in candidates who are confident supporting learning, leading small groups, and adapting to the needs of different pupils.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay
£95-£100 per day PAYE depending on experience.
