THE ROLE
This is a newly created position reporting to the Head of Department, designed to bridge high-level governance (Sustainability and GDPR) with day-to-day operational safety across our UK business.
- Ensure continuous compliance with UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
- Manage sustainability compliance and environmental impact reporting
- Conduct regular internal audits and lead preparation for external audits
- Manage the end-to-end Risk Assessment process and maintain H&S Plans and Method Statements
- Lead post-incident investigations to identify root causes and implement preventative actions
- Ensure organisational GDPR compliance and support overall corporate governance
- Oversee PPE management, asset control, Purchase Order management, and site Access / Work Permits
- Produce detailed analytical reports for senior leadership and provide administrative support to the Head of Department
THE CANDIDATE
- You will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Have hands-on experience – You’ve worked in environmental or sustainability roles, ideally in engineering, construction, or infrastructure.
- You will have knowledge of ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) standards.
- Possess an understanding of Sustainability, including Scope 1, 2 and 3.
- You will have close attention to detail for audit trail management and the ability to influence ESG culture across diverse teams.
- Be comfortable with Data – Microsoft Excel – confident pulling together information and using it to tell a clear story.

A basic salary of £45,000 per annum + 25 days' annual leave (plus bank holidays) + 7% pension contribution + Life Assurance (3x basic salary) + Ongoing training, development, and career progression opportunities + 40 hours per week Monday – Friday.
