Refrigeration Engineer
What We’re Looking For
This is an exciting opportunity for a Refrigeration Engineer to join our team.
As a Refrigeration Engineer, you’ll play a part in keeping some of the UK’s biggest brands on the road, responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, repair, and servicing of customers’ fleets.
Hours: Monday – Friday; 8am – 4:30pm
Overtime available at time and a half – OTE 55K
Hours of work: Monday – Friday; 8am – 4:30pm (with one weekend in five)
Responsibilities:
- Service and repair of all makes and models of transport refrigeration units including Carrier Transicold on different sites.
- Installation of transport refrigeration units including trailer, truck and light commercial vehicle units.
- Electrical, electronic, mechanical and refrigeration fault diagnosis and repair.
- Able to work sufficiently and effectively remotely on busy customer premises away from workshop environment.
- Able to be part of a call out rota to cover out-of-hours breakdowns.
- Support workshops team members including Apprentice Engineers as required.
- Accurately record time and parts to complete jobs and associated details on mobile application.
- Ensuring a first-time fix on all repairs where possible.
- Manage van stock to ensure correct parts are always carried.
- Ad-hoc duties as required.
- Health and safety at work and workshop cleanliness is of paramount importance.
Qualifications:
- F-Gas C&G 2079-11.
- Valid UK driving licence as using company service vehicle.
- Working remotely and travelling to customer premises for the majority of work.
- Installation experience of transport refrigeration units.
- Experience working in this role/a similar role.
- Excellent customer service mindset.
- Great communication skills.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively.
- Must be hardworking and self-motivated and a productive Engineer.
- Ability to tackle all aspects of repair and servicing transport refrigeration units.
- Diagnostics skills / qualifications – desirable.
- Fleet experience.
