MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based near Washington by recruiting a permanent Electrical Engineer. You will be joining an industry leading company, with an excellent team-based culture and fantastic long-term career prospects.
The Job You’ll Do;
- Design, development, and delivery of electrical systems for a range of projects
- Design and manufacture of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Work closely with estimators to prepare accurate project cost estimates and schedules.
- Develop and review CAD designs and schematics for electrical systems, ensuring all designs meet regulatory and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure designs are translated effectively into final products.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Ensure quality assurance and control standards are met at all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within the engineering team
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, ensuring all expectations are met or exceeded.
- Drive continuous improvement within the electrical engineering processes and team.
- Oversee electrical projects from design through to installation and commissioning
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
About You;
- HNC or above in an Electrical discipline is essential.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar)
- Understanding of BS7671 wiring regulations, BS EN 61439 and IEC standards
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
