Our client, a prominent player in the nuclear industry, is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role will involve working on a significant project for Urenco, based in the North West. The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously, offering their expert process engineering skills without significant support from an internal team. This contract is anticipated to last approximately 18 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing process design independently and efficiently
- Ensuring adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Attending site visits and office meetings as required
- Providing expert input on nuclear process engineering projects
- Delivering high-quality technical documentation and reports
- Maintaining high standards of safety and compliance throughout the project lifecycle
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in process engineering, ideally within the nuclear sector
- Proven ability to complete process design tasks autonomously
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Capability to meet SC clearance requirements (British passport holder and 5+ years in the UK)
- Willingness to work 2 days per week in the office or on-site at Chorley and Capenhurst
