Teaching Assistant – KS1 Intervention Support – Tottenham Primary School
An inclusive Primary School in Tottenham is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 on a Monday to Wednesday basis.
This Teaching Assistant position is available immediately and will roll into the next academic year, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking a long-term part-time role within a supportive school environment.
The successful Teaching Assistant will play a key role in delivering phonics support, running intervention groups, and providing focused 1:1 assistance to pupils who require additional support with their learning.
Key Duties of the Teaching Assistant
- Supporting phonics sessions as a Teaching Assistant
- Providing 1:1 learning support as a Teaching Assistant
- Delivering targeted group interventions as a Teaching Assistant
- Supporting classroom learning across KS1 as a Teaching Assistant
- Working closely with teachers and support staff as a Teaching Assistant
- Encouraging pupil confidence, engagement, and progress as a Teaching Assistant
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working in a primary school
- Strong understanding of phonics
- Experience supporting children in KS1
- Positive, patient, and proactive approach
- Ability to commit to Monday-Wednesday each week
