An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a growing and highly respected construction consultancy in Bristol. This Project Manager role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from day one, delivering a range of residential and purpose-built student accommodation developments for an established client base. With a strong pipeline of residential and PBSA projects, this Project Manager role provides full project autonomy and direct client exposure. The consultancy is particularly well-regarded for its commitment to professional development, boasting an outstanding track record of supporting APC candidates through to chartership. The successful Project Manager will benefit from working alongside experienced professionals while having the freedom to manage their own projects and develop towards Senior Project Manager level. This opportunity is particularly attractive for those with long-term aspirations of moving into developer-side project management in the future.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The 'Project Manager's' role

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful outcomes across programme, cost and quality objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing residential and PBSA developments from inception through to completion.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Managing project programmes, risks and reporting.
  • Overseeing procurement and contract administration processes.
  • Chairing project meetings and preparing client updates.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered in line with client objectives and industry best practice.
  • Taking ownership of projects with a high degree of autonomy.

The 'Project Manager'

The ideal Project Manager will be eager to take responsibility for projects and progress their career within a consultancy environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Project Manager or a strong Assistant Project Manager within a construction consultancy.
  • Residential or PBSA project experience.
  • Employer's Agent experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience delivering projects through multiple project stages.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Working towards or keen to achieve MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB status.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
