Description
Key Responsibilities:
*Timely production and filing of statutory reports and returns ensuring compliance with relevant law and policies
*Lead Finance representative in the development of the Group's finance IT system; Xero, to ensure an efficient integration with Omni, HR and payroll systems and Operational systems.
*Perform risk management, in conjunction with Group Risk Manager, by analysing the organisation's liabilities and investments. and management of business insurance policies.
*Timely production and distribution of Management Information (daily, weekly, monthly).
*Comparison of actual performance versus budgeted / forecast, with variance analysis / KPI analysis
*Ownership of the Group's financial planning, one-, three- and five-year plans.
*Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organisation's operations – both short term and medium term.
*Liaison with external professional advisors regarding any corporate finance related activities.
*Line management and development of the Finance team ensuring level of resource has the appropriate level of knowledge, skills and capacity to support business needs
*Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks – Treasury Management / short term investments / maximising returns whilst maintaining adequate cashflow.
Profile
- ACA / ACCA qualified
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior financial management position with extensive experience in leading a finance team and overseeing a company's financial control and reporting activities.
- Experience within professional / financial services would be desirable
- Strong leadership qualities and communication skills
- Live within a commutable radar to Leicester
