JobTitle: Junior Electronic Design Engineer
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid Working – 3 Days On-Site Per Week)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + Bonus & Benefits (Depending on Experience)

Role Overview:
Zenovo are looking for an Junior Electronic Design Engineer to join their client in Cambridge who design and manufacture globally recognised consumer electronics.
An ideal candidate will have at least 1-Year of Experience outside of University however we are happy to consider candidates who have done a Sandwich Degree and completed a year in Industry during their studies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work on electronics hardware development projects, with hands-on involvement in specification, design, implementation, and testing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal hardware development processes in collaboration with the Head of Software and Electronics.
- Support EMC design, testing, and compliance efforts.
- Perform product testing, including functionality, reliability, and safety assessments.
- Undertake PCB rework and support prototyping activities.
- Take ownership of assigned work packages, providing regular progress updates and ensuring delivery to agreed deadlines.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Develop and support the creation of test procedures for both laboratory and manufacturing environments.
- Produce clear, professional-standard test reports
Required Skills & Experience:
- Understanding of core electronics engineering principles, including analogue design, SMPS, EMC/EMI, and PCB development.
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to diagnose issues and deliver effective engineering solutions.
- Skilled in PCB design and schematic capture using Altium, or willing to develop expertise in this area.
- Proficient in the use of test and measurement equipment such as, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), current probes and power supplies.
- Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm for product development in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
