Are you passionate about making a difference and supporting people to thrive in their communities? We’re looking for a proactive and compassionate Community Coach to help customers sustain their tenancies and achieve their goals.
About the Role
You’ll be the face of housing services in your patch, building strong relationships with customers from pre-tenancy onwards. Using a coaching approach, you’ll support individuals with budgeting, employment guidance, and day-to-day tenancy management, while also addressing low-level arrears and early signs of anti-social behaviour.
Working out in the community, you’ll be visible and responsive, listening to customer needs and working with colleagues and partners to deliver tailored support and community initiatives. Your ability to engage, motivate and challenge when needed will help create safer, more connected neighbourhoods.
About you
We are looking for an individual with an open mind and can do attitude, along with the ability act with integrity and ensure confidentiality with regards to personal information.
You will have experience of working in a customer-based environment that acknowledges and understands differences and have previously used a coaching model to engage, encourage and enable customers to achieve their potential.
Excellent communication skills are essential and you will be confident in delivering difficult messages as well as having the ability to challenge customers, as well as other professionals in a constructive way.
This post requires that the job holder is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
Possession of a current valid driving licence and appropriately insured car is a requirement for the post.
