As this primary schools HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to plan, deliver, and assess learning activities across the KS2 (Year 3 to year 6). You will take a leading role in supporting pupils' learning, providing targeted interventions, and occasionally covering classes in the absence of a teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- Plan and deliver learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
- Lead small group interventions and support individual pupils
- Cover lessons as required, ensuring continuity of learning
- Contribute to assessment, tracking, and pupil progress monitoring
The Ideal HLTA:
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification ideally
- Previous experience in a primary school setting
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills
- Ability to inspire and engage young learners
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A calm, patient and flexible approach
- Experience working in UK schools
