TPF Recruitment is supporting a growing and ambitious firm of accountants in Bexhill with the recruitment of a Bookkeeper. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to join a supportive and forward-thinking practice where you can develop your skills and progress your career.
The Role
This varied position will see you working across both bookkeeping and accounts preparation. You will be involved with a wide range of clients, gaining valuable exposure to different sectors and business types.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using cloud-based software
Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with deadlines
Assisting with year-end accounts preparation
Reconciling bank statements and ledgers
Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc accounting tasks
Building and maintaining client relationships through excellent service
Requirements
Minimum AAT Level 3 qualified (or equivalent experience)
Strong bookkeeping knowledge and practical experience
Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
A proactive and positive approach to work
Experience in an accountancy practice environment is desirable but not essential
